Vintage Ritual Oil Lamp ~ Vintage Indian Diyas

$25.00

Vintage, hand crafted sacred light… many traditional Hindu households light a diya in the morning and evening at their home altars for puja, prayer rituals. Very small, light weight brass with wonderful patina from use… burning oil or ghee, fire, smoke… subtle details at the rim and base, traces of old color. When they are lit you begin to understand that their purpose is not to lead, but to accompany the intentions that you set.

Traditional use: Fill basin with oil of your choice and use a cotton wick to rest in the small extension at rim. A tea light fits well and both produce sacred and serene light for your altar or sanctuary space.

Can also hold a cone incense.
