Alexandria Economou

Reiki at Master Level

Reiki is an ancient healing art, based on the view that everything and everyone is energy. Energy healing helps to restore balance of body, mind, spirit, components of our wholeness. The reiki master works with universal energy and their own and transfers this to the recipient. I place my hands above you or gently on you and move around you.

With my sight impairment, my healing work is deeply intuitive, integrating Reiki and other healing modalities. My Reiki sessions are unlike other practices and does not use the clock. Kairos, the ancient Greek concept of time, meaning the right things at the right moment, guides our session. My Reiki Studio is a private, calming, sensory experience filled with authentic, collected artifacts used by healers for centuries.

My healing sessions are available to a limited private client base.

My Services

With my significant medical history, my path to wellness has been a tough one. Finding the courage to “walk through the fire,” extraordinary mentors, healers, horses, and those unexplainable mysteries have led me to this time and place. I am deeply aware of the difficulties that some of us must face, and how it can change us at our core. My healing work and leadership in the disability community are formed from my lived experiences and studies in the integrative wellness mindset. My approach is personal, strengths-based, and trauma-informed, exploring the often-overlooked aspects of what makes us well.

  • NY State Certified Peer Mentor, guiding individuals and small groups to resilience and growth perspectives.

  • Disability Awareness Speaker and Guide Dog Etiquette Instructor for schools and organizations.

  • Certified in Animal Assisted Therapy, working with therapists and my guide dog to facilitate sessions.

  • Long Island Chair of the Greater New York Foundation Fighting Blindness, advising the white cane to guide dog process and disability resources.

Private Art Sessions with Christina

When I say I am a professional artist, so many people respond with, “I can’t even draw a straight line.” And that’s perfect because railroad tracks need to be straight, not art. Then the excuses, no time, no talent. Knowing how or where to begin if you don’t have the time or interest to commit to a formal course can make the desire to create seem impossible. Everyone has their own personal marks, colors, shapes and images waiting to take form when they are given the right tools for mind and hand. You may already be creating but want to explore a new technique, substrate or medium.

Join me in my studio for personal, one-on-one instruction to help you get started or expand your creative process and works. This is not an art school. This is a single, focused, personal session at your level, stream lined to get right to what you are interested in, curious about, unsure of, ready for. This is the place to slow down, shift your thinking, discover your capabilities, ways of interpreting what inspires, refine what you are now doing and connect with the absolute pleasure of creating.

Instruction in - Techniques for transferring images, drawing, mark making, sigils, spells, intention setting, water color and mediums, abstract form, face and figure, finding your style, book making... and so much more...

Horse Memorial Totem

It’s not easy to explain the depth of relationship and connection we have with our horses. For those of us that share our existence with them, no words are ever needed. We suffer their loss in immense ways; their absence is a crater-sized empty space in our souls.

We choose not to let go of their meaning in our lives, all of the lessons learned and shared. We honor them and our relationship with them. Guided by your story, their story, any saved horse hair and with our natural materials, a Remembering is created for you. Each a small, one of a kind work of art and as unique as the relationship you shared with the horse you have loved.

Thoughtfully and meticulously crafted.
Please contact us to discuss the ways that a Remembering can be created for you.
