Vintage Incense Burner with Patina

$148.00

First attraction… patina, underlying green, rust-light brown crustiness, the censer has a pleasing shape and proportions, sweeping handles, the lower half with decorative openwork, an interior bowl that holds the incense. The lid is vented by an openwork design with a Foo Dog finial. Dog or Lions, they are the symbolic representation of yin - yang, male - female energies and the internal and external elements of our lives. Use stick, charcoal and resin or cone incense. The interior bowl fits a votive. It can hold oil with a cotton wick.

Heavy like iron, tri - footed with figures, a storyteller at your altar.

As discovered.
