Every movement and moment of the Japanese Te Ceremony is a form of art, to be performed with reverence and intention. Shaping or sprinkling ash during charcoal laying in the brazier-furo must be done with skill and the proper tool.

Our vintage copper spatula-like implements from Japan are used to shape ash in the portable brazier (furo), or sprinkle ash during charcoal-laying. Both are considered an art and the proper tool is needed.

Our vintage  hand made copper Haisaji have bamboo wrapped and tied handles. The copper is patinated with the discoloration' of time and use. They bring their rituals to your own, for your incense, and ashes.
