Painted Antique Kimono Series

Indigo - violet - dark burgundy goose and rooster feathers are joined to a slim naturally shed antler tip, wrapped and layered with indigo raw silk, antique ceremonial kimono fragment with silvered and golden threads and antique royal blue silk velvet. Each textile has been hand stitched, hand painted and gilded, on the reverse the gilded paint extending its gleam to catch soft candle’s light. A hand wrought link holds a dangle of antique French seed beads and faceted tear shaped dark sapphire.
