PAISLEY SUN CATCHER

$245.00

The sun catcher reborn… elevated to unique and truly beautiful decorative objects that capture the light and the mind. Prisms interact with light throughout the day but patiently conceal their casting magic until their moment with direct sun. We wanted to capture that magic with the look and feel of old treasures. Our collected vintage horse pageant medallions are hand made in ornate heraldic shapes. Their crisp repousse stylized flowers, foliage, birds and image join perfectly with our vintage crystals. The crystals have been carefully chosen for shape and size and configured to work with each of the medallion shapes. They are mounted with vintage chain because the patina, scale and weave felt right. Each one unique, beautiful to own, the perfect gift for those someones…

Hand made vintage medallion, stylized male image in the medallion’s center, surrounded by the repeated pattern of flowers, foliage and scrolls found on paisley, with darkened bronze-brown patina. Centered with a large square vintage Italian crystal and meticulously re-configured crystal swag, suspended from hand painted dark coppery wooden beads and outer dangles. The reverse, hammered metal with patina. Old chain with patina. Inward “dent” in center/image but may have been intentional as it is rather even.

Please note… all of the components of our Sun Catchers are vintage and salvaged. Patina has not been removed. On close inspection you may find light scuffs, scratches in the crystal, darkened or rusted wire attachments, rough spots in the vintage chain. These elements were thoughtfully chosen for their aesthetic harmony and the way to achieve our intended look. This is the nature of salvaged pieces and the nature of their beauty.
