Hand formed clay in bell shapes, carved with ancient symbols and marks that I have collected, each bisque fired and left unglazed to hand stain and color. Instead of the expected clapper, there are stones and metals of different ages, from different places, intuitively chosen and joined by color harmony.
Red Ochre stain, pink rhodochrosite, vintage metals, copper, old seed beads, wood. Overall earthy ochre-pink. Jingly sound.
Suspended with a simple hand woven cord and attached to a piece driftwood.
SIZE - Top of wood to bottom of last bead 11 1/2” long. Wood 5 1/2” across
