Entering the Light, the Idaho Series was created during my photographic journey, living and working alongside a herd of horses, beginning each day at dawn.
To know them — in their quiet moments, through shared breath, in the saddle, and at full gallop — is to experience all of their presence. As they moved into their light, I followed with my camera.
Reworked into a restrained palette of whites, grays and neutrals, the images capture their presence in both stillness, motion and the in-between. The work reflects our shared beginning — horses and artist meeting the day and the light, together.
