Not ringing bells or wind chimes, they are the portal… hand made potter’s clay in bell-shaped forms, bisque fired but not returned to the kiln for glaze, touched with coppery- bronze washed studio finishes, marked with symbols from the ancient manuscripts and alphabets that I collect.

Instead of the expected clapper, there are stones and metals of different ages, from different places, intuitively chosen and joined by color harmony. Hand painted wood bead, bronze seed beads, antique French micro seed beads, copper, glass and a genuine rough faceted labradorite. A simple hand woven cord joins driftwood to clay and stones…
