The Raw Series

I am a sight impaired artist, working with my R a r e V i s i o n to create my Clay Angels in the female form. As a working Reiki Master, my hands are the pathway of energy, guidance and intuition. I feel raw energy, it guides me, and the Angels take their form. Some are smooth, some are scored. They are bisque fired and then I bathe them in red ochre, the most ancient pigment. Their layered wings of paper, canvas and 18th century French book pages build their form and their story. They are mounted to the right piece of reclaimed wood from the many storm fallen trees from the woods where I live. The elements of clay, water, wood, fire are joined and share their silent wisdom. Their presence creates a personal altar, a small sacred space to build around with your special objects. I have added a simple vintage charm on thin gold string that can be removed or left in place as the beginning of your offerings.
