A box filled with driftwood, gathered from her walks on a secret stretch of Hawaiian beach… a piece of driftwood holds the secrets of land and sea, worn smooth but many furies, storms and moons… joined with hand made with potter’s clay that did not return to the kiln for glazing, the bell shaped forms are marked with symbols from the ancient manuscripts that I collect, these are not ringing bells or a wind chime, they are vertical art, guardians imbued with the ancient wisdom of nature. Woven to the wood, joined with brass, frosty white seed beads, glass and vintage baroque pearl.
