I was lost in this painting in my studio on a stormy winter night when my mother took her last breath… it has been my companion, filled with love and light and the solemn truth of the fragility of our connection to the things we cherish…

Quiet gestured angel, simple halo of cut gold textile, collar and vestment of hand painted, layered linens, silks, laces and velvets, double dangle of champagne pearl rosary chain, and simple darkened heart medallion. Two layers of gild washed reclaimed wood with painted antique textile fragments and hand painted linen tie.
