Working with ancient excavated beads is exciting and humbling …they are each unique, the stone, the shape, the human wear, the patina of time and challenging…hand drilled holes are uneven, sometimes impossibly narrow in the center and really hard to string. That’s when you feel the maker that chiseled and shaped each bead, that’s when you imagine the wearer…the piece of jewelry that was inherited, traded and then lost to time.

Ancient rock crystal beads and lithic beads, that are at least 1,000 years old, joined with old Tibetan mala crystals, ancient nila djenne glass, bronze and hand wrought antique brass, antique french seed beads and an artisan hook and eye closure. Ancient, subtle, powerful.
