The Accidental Tree and Creativity

September 18, 2026

To Our Local Friends

Summer makes me believe I must be doing outside things all of the time. But the languid heat lulls me and my inspiration goes on simmer. On the last hot and humid days of summer, as my dogs dragged themselves on our walk, I saw it. The first autumn leaves on a little accidental tree. The kind that no-one planted, the kind that’s just there in that wild, woodsy, untended space between manicured lawns, intentional plantings and pedigreed trees. And that is where our creativity lives, hiding in our wild untamed selves until we give it a way to come out and join us.

Meet Me in the Studio and our art workshops will be resuming soon!
