Inspired by pottery of the ancient Peruvian Mohica civilization, dating between 200 - 700 BCE. Their well developed pottery represented gods, men, animals and beliefs. Huacos, the Peruvian name for vessels found at burial sites, temples and ancient ruins were colored with earth pigments, frequently brick red, brown and cream. In the same tradition, this piece bears cracks, incising, Pre-Columbian design elements and a low sheen earthy palette. Fully glazed, food safe. Keeper of stones, treasures, incense cones, sage. Bears the mark of A X E. Hand built, one of a kind. Stands on 3 legs, approximately 3 1/2” tall X 8” bowl diameter at rim
